Prince Owusu broke the NPL Academy League goal scoring record of 22 by scoring 4 to reach his 23rd goal of the season in the Academy 4-1 win at Radcliffe borough

Mossley started brightly creating chances but when they couldn't clear the ball from a number of throw-ins the ball was crossed in and Radcliffe's Declan Lowe headed the ball home 1-0.

Mossley then stepped up the pressure and were unlucky not get back into the game and go ahead when first Owusu hit the bar then 5 minutes later Declan Lewis did the same. The pressure soon payed off as Owusu took on the Radcliffe defenders and slotted home to make it 1-1 just before half time.

Mossley started the second half the brighter side and were unlucky not to take the lead as a great passing movement ended with Owusu's powerful strike came off the post and then a few minutes later Owusu hit the post again.

Soon after the mossley academy had the ball in the net only for the linesman to rule it out for offside. It just seemed a frustrating second half but then a beautiful passing move ended up with Owusu who made it 2-1 to Mossley.

The Lilywhites youngsters then didn't look back as they went again and moments later Decaln Lewis was tripped in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Owusu stepped up to complete his hat trick and equal the golden boot record of 22. But, with 15 minutes left Mossley weren't finished yet and neither was Owusu who took it around a defender and smashed the ball home to make it 4-1 and break the record.

A good afternoon for the Academy in a convincing win.
